Technical Assistant Maintenance

SANBI is looking for an experienced and reliable person to support the Senior Artisan/Principal Supervisor. The role involves ensuring that all projects and maintenance requests are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

Requirements

  • A Grade 10 with a job-specific qualification (or equivalent at NQF 2) and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Grade 12 with a job-specific qualification (or equivalent at NQF 4) and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A higher education qualification at NQF 5 in a related field is an advantage.

Key Competencies

  • Experience in solid waste management, fence work, minor building repairs, painting, varnishing, signage installation, and machinery work.
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B).
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic relevant skills training.
  • Training in bricklaying, blockwork, and masonry work.

Responsibilities

  • Help with operational functions and projects.
  • Support the completion of general maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with administrative duties.
  • Follow health and safety policies.
