Position Overview
Join our Facilities Management team to support technical operations and maintenance at UJ Island. This live-in role combines facility maintenance with logistics support in a unique island environment.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance
- Schedule installations, repairs, and equipment maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Maintain service records and technical documentation
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical equipment
Island Operations Support
- Manage boat transportation (entry/exit from island)
- Handle guest services and event support
- Maintain landscape and waste disposal
- Assist with emergency response procedures
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure OSH Act compliance
- Maintain safety equipment
- Manage hazardous materials
Requirements
- Matric Certificate (NQF 4)
- 3+ years technical/hospitality experience
- Valid Code 10+EB license & Boat Skipper certificate
- Plumbing/Welding/Mechanical certification
- Physical ability for manual tasks
