About the Role
The Tax Administrator will prepare, submit and coordinate all documentation required to meet the tax obligations of the CashBuild Group. The role involves working closely with tax authorities, internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance and timely payment of all tax liabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Queries & Audits: Investigate and resolve tax-related issues, provide information to auditors, maintain correspondence files, reconcile tax payments with revenue authorities, and keep a tax status table.
- Tax Returns: Prepare provisional tax calculations and returns, obtain sign‑off from the Group Financial Accountant, coordinate payment instructions, and ensure all returns (VAT, dividends tax, import duty, etc.) are submitted, stamped and paid on time.
- Withholding Tax: Calculate withholding tax according to local legislation, review schedules, submit returns, and secure proof of payment.
- Relationships with Tax Authorities: Build and maintain good relationships with tax officials, resolve queries within agreed timeframes.
- Tax Updates: Stay current with statutory changes, apply new rates and treatments, and inform relevant departments of any changes.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with special tax projects as required.
Requirements
- Minimum NQF 7 (financial qualification)
- At least 2 years of related experience
