Position Details

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or National Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field
  • Experience: 3+ years (supervisory experience preferred)
  • Location: Onderstepoort, Gauteng
  • Field: Finance/Accounting/Audit, Procurement/Supply Chain

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities at OVR Campus, including sourcing goods/services, supplier negotiations, and contract administration
  • Implement cost-saving strategies aligned with PFMA/PPPFA regulations
  • Guide research teams through procurement processes and specifications development
  • Manage tender evaluations and present proposals to bid committees
  • Ensure compliance with SCM policies and supplier performance monitoring
  • Address audit queries and provide procurement guidance to stakeholders
  • Lead and mentor junior staff members

Requirements

  • National Diploma/Bachelor’s in relevant field
  • 3 years’ supervisory experience in procurement/SCM
  • Experience with government procurement legislation (PFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations)
  • Strong MS Office skills and communication abilities
  • Valid SA driver’s license
  • Research environment experience (advantageous)
