Education Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate (Essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Education, Community Development or Social Sciences (NQF Level 7)
- Postgraduate Qualification (Preferred)
Professional Experience:
- 7-9 years’ experience in social development sector
- Minimum 6 years in management role
- 3+ years direct experience with child development programs (0-18 years)
Key Competencies:
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s License
- Advanced understanding of municipal financial legislation
- Proven expertise in program design & implementation
- Strong leadership & team management capabilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead city-wide child development initiatives
- Develop age-specific programs (0-18 years)
- Ensure legislative compliance across all services
- Manage R50M+ budget and resource allocation
- Oversee cross-departmental collaborations
- Implement performance management systems
Technical Requirements:
- Advanced Report Writing Skills
- Municipal Financial Management
- Stakeholder Engagement Strategies
- Data-Driven Program Evaluation
