Position Details

– Matric Certificate
– Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development/Education/Community Development/Social Sciences (NQF 7)
– Master’s Degree preferred - Experience: 7-9 years in social development (including 6 years managerial experience)
- Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
- Department: Education/Project Management
Core Requirements
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license
- 3+ years direct experience with child development programs (ages 0-18)
- Proven track record in program design, implementation, and assessment
- Essential skills: Financial management, strategic reporting, stakeholder engagement
- Technical proficiency: Municipal governance frameworks, project lifecycle management
Key Responsibilities
- Lead city-wide implementation of child development initiatives
- Develop compliance strategies with national child protection legislation
- Manage cross-departmental program coordination and quality assurance
- Oversee budget allocation and resource optimization
- Drive intergovernmental partnerships for service delivery enhancement
- Implement performance management systems across 7 regional offices
