Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Education Requirements:
    – Matric Certificate
    – Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development/Education/Community Development/Social Sciences (NQF 7)
    – Master’s Degree preferred
  • Experience: 7-9 years in social development (including 6 years managerial experience)
  • Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
  • Department: Education/Project Management

Core Requirements

  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license
  • 3+ years direct experience with child development programs (ages 0-18)
  • Proven track record in program design, implementation, and assessment
  • Essential skills: Financial management, strategic reporting, stakeholder engagement
  • Technical proficiency: Municipal governance frameworks, project lifecycle management

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead city-wide implementation of child development initiatives
  • Develop compliance strategies with national child protection legislation
  • Manage cross-departmental program coordination and quality assurance
  • Oversee budget allocation and resource optimization
  • Drive intergovernmental partnerships for service delivery enhancement
  • Implement performance management systems across 7 regional offices
