Requirements:

  • ABET/Grade 10 or equivalent qualification. Computer literacy is an advantage. Be a team player with good organizing skills and the ability to work under pressure. Understand Batho Pele Principles and the six Ministerial Priorities.
  • Relieve colleagues when needed and work closely with other teams. Have strong interpersonal skills and good communication (written and verbal).

Duties:

  • Assist in receiving and issuing stock in the warehouse. Load and offload stock. Deliver and offload stock or equipment to different units. Reconcile the quantity of delivered stock with the end-user.
  • Assist in managing stock control in various warehouses. Help implement FIFO/FEFO principles. Ensure the warehouse is always locked.
  • Assist in physically removing and packing stock by commodity on shelves. Label received stock. Keep the warehouse and other store areas clean.
  • Perform messenger duties in Supply Chain Management and any other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Help team members during stocktaking by counting and capturing data. Assist with monthly stock reconciliation in the warehouse.
