Dis-Chem Pharmacies, South Africa’s leading pharmaceutical retailer, is seeking a reliable and skilled Driver for their Magalieshill store.
**About the Role**
As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in a timely, professional, and efficient manner. This role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to work retail hours, including shifts.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers within specified time frames.
- Ensure accurate and secure delivery of products, including handling fragile and hazardous items with care.
- Use the most efficient routes for deliveries and return to the store promptly to maximize delivery capacity.
- Organize and repack the vehicle after delivery to prevent damage to stock and the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records, including delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and customer paperwork.
- Comply with road traffic laws and company vehicle policies at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional behavior while interacting with customers.
**Requirements**
**Essential:**
- Grade 12 / Matric certification.
- Valid driver’s license (Code A1).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including retail shifts.
- Good understanding of English for effective communication.
- Trustworthiness, reliability, and strong time management skills.
**Advantageous:**
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Bilingualism.
**Special Conditions**
- Must be physically fit to lift and move heavy boxes.
- Reliable transport and proximity to the store is an advantage.
- Clear criminal and credit records are required.
