Store Cleaner – Sandton Gate (New Store) Jobs

Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced cleaner for the new Sandton Gate store. You will keep the store clean and tidy according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards. This includes the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Good command of English
• Basic customer service skills
• Knowledge of an additional local language
• Willing to work retail hours

Advantageous:

• Bilingual
• Previous experience cleaning in a retail store

Job Specification

• Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards across the store, shop floor, and communal areas before opening.
• Create routines to keep all store areas clean.
• Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with supplies at all times.
• Be available during operating hours to clean as needed.
• Use the right cleaning products and equipment for each task.
• Display wet floor signs clearly on both ends when mopping.
• Be friendly, professional, and ready to help customers.
• Follow health and safety regulations in all duties.
