Job Description

As a Store Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across various areas of the store, including the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat store according to Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards.
• Develop cleaning routines to ensure all areas are consistently clean.
• Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with essential products.
• Be available during operational hours to clean as needed.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Ensure wet floor signs are visible when cleaning.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.

Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric certification.
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience.
• Strong command of English (written and spoken).
• Basic customer service skills.
• Additional language skills (area-specific).
• Ability to work retail hours.

Advantageous:

• Bilingual.
• Previous retail store cleaning experience.
