Dis-Chem Pharmacies, a leading South African pharmaceutical retailer, is seeking an experienced Cleaner for their new Parelberg store in Paarl. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across the store, including the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Good command of English
• Basic customer service skills
• Ability to speak an additional language (area-specific)
• Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous

• Bilingual
• Previous retail store cleaning experience

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the store before opening.
• Develop routines to ensure consistent cleanliness across the store.
• Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Be available during operational hours to clean as needed.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Ensure wet floor signs are visible when cleaning.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.
