Store Cleaner (Fixed Term) – Birch Acres

Dis-Chem Pharmacies, a leading pharmaceutical retailer in South Africa, is seeking an experienced Cleaner for their Birch Acres store. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment across the store, including the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• At least 6 months of cleaning experience
• Good command of the English language
• Basic customer service skills
• Willingness to work retail hours

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all store areas, including the shop floor and communal spaces, before the store opens.
• Develop routines to maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Clean and restock the canteen and restrooms regularly.
• Be available during operational hours for ongoing cleaning tasks.
• Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
• Ensure safety by displaying wet floor signs when cleaning.
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.
