Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all store administration, reporting, and audit compliance.
- Oversee cash office operations, including daily takings, banking, and float management, following company procedures.
- Share, collect, and report relevant information between store and department managers to support shared goals.
- Monitor and reconcile transactions to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls.
- Manage cashier performance, service levels, and overtime.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, tender variances, and end-of-day reports.
- Take full responsibility for cash handling, collections, and point-of-sale integrity.
- Manage goods receiving, credits, and returns according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all incoming and outgoing stock transactions.
- Monitor and verify inventory documentation and reconciliations.
- Track and report on stock, shrinkage, and goods in transit.
- Ensure accurate entry of transactions in SAP.
- Help with store budgeting, expense control, and profitability tracking.
- Promote adherence to internal controls and company procedures.
- Manage human resource processes, submissions, and documentation for the business unit, following standard procedures.
- Own the workforce management system, including master data and transactions.
- Support the Store Manager with financial reporting and audit preparation.
- Ensure the store delivers excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Matric (essential).
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Pass an MIE check with no criminal record and clear credit rating.
- At least 18 months’ experience in a retail administrative team lead role.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to processes.
- Deep understanding of large retail operations, including stock management, cost control, and reporting.
- Strong financial knowledge and ability to manage budgets and costs.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Flexible to work retail hours and travel as needed.
Advantageous Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in finance or retail management.
- Experience with Excel, SAP, Unisolv, SuccessFactors, or similar retail systems.
