Position Summary
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Experience: Minimum 3 years
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science (NQF7)
Key Requirements
- Valid registration with South African Veterinary Council
- Proven experience in aquatic animal health systems
- Knowledge of international standards (WOAH) and aquaculture biosecurity
- Strong analytical skills for policy development and program management
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee import/export health controls for aquatic species
- Conduct biosecurity audits at aquaculture facilities
- Manage National Residue Control Program implementation
- Guide ethical research practices through committee leadership
- Develop aquatic health legislation aligned with global standards
