Salary Range: R932,904 – R1,539,321 per annum (Total Package)
About the Role:
We’re seeking qualified legal professionals to strengthen our prosecution team. This role involves handling complex criminal cases and contributing to justice delivery in South Africa.
Key Requirements:
- LLB degree or equivalent legal qualification
- 5+ years post-qualification legal experience
- Right to appear in court as per Section 25(2) of NPA Act, 1998
- Proven track record in criminal prosecution
- Experience with Prevention of Organized Crime Act (POCA) cases
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead criminal investigations and case preparation
- Draft legal documents (charge sheets, indictments, etc.)
- Represent the State in all court levels
- Handle appeals, reviews, and legal representations
- Collaborate with criminal justice partners
Skills Needed:
- Strong courtroom presentation abilities
- Excellent legal research skills
- Effective communication (written and verbal)
- Case management proficiency
- Ethical decision-making capability
