State Accountant (Budget Revenue & Expenditure)

Position Overview:

Join our Department of Infrastructure team to manage integrated budgeting systems and ensure compliant financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Finance or related field
  • 1+ year experience in management accounting
  • Experience with infrastructure reporting (IRM) preferred

Core Responsibilities:

  • Track revenue/expenditure and prepare monthly/quarterly reports
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure project data using IRM system
  • Reconcile financial data across BAS, LOGIS, and SCOA platforms
  • Support annual budget formulation and adjustments
  • Prevent financial discrepancies and optimize resource allocation

Essential Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of public sector financial regulations
  • Advanced Excel skills and database management experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

Remuneration:

R397,116 – R467,790 per annum (Level 8)
