Job Purpose

  • Guide and direct strategic and professional requirements and procedures to support functional areas within the department.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Help manage procedures for preparing and reviewing contract documents, and evaluating tender applications for various department works.
  • Handle infrastructure planning for the department.
  • Support the Municipal Finance Management Practices output plan.
  • Lead professional project teams from start to finish on strategic projects, and help identify and develop key internal professionals.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (NQF Level 8) in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 7 years of relevant post-registration experience.
