Job Purpose

Lead the planning, design, and modernization of existing products and processes. Build an advanced platform that integrates data science and artificial intelligence. This will improve employee performance, optimize operations, and enhance the taxpayer experience with a customer-focused approach.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics, plus 8-10 years in a data analysis environment, including 3-4 years at junior specialist level.
• OR Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 15 years in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Statistics, including 3-4 years at junior specialist level.

Minimum Functional Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of data warehouses.
• Intermediate programming skills, such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Proficiency in:
  • Basic data migration (e.g., SSIS)
  • Basic data visualization in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
  • Business Intelligence methodologies
  • Database knowledge
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Statistical and mathematical analysis
