Job Purpose

Conduct complex audits across multiple tax types and financial sectors, ensuring compliance with legislation while identifying cross-tax risks. Drive revenue protection through effective compliance enforcement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ◼ Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) + 8-10 years audit experience in Corporate Income Tax and financial services (banking/insurance/asset management)
  • ◼ Alternative: Matric Certificate (NQF 4) + 15 years relevant experience
  • ◼ Minimum 3-4 years at specialist operational level

Key Responsibilities

Audit Execution:

  • • Plan and conduct high-complexity audits across multiple tax periods
  • • Analyze financial products, corporate restructures, and M&A transactions
  • • Identify compliance gaps and recommend systemic improvements

Compliance & Strategy:

  • • Develop audit practices aligned with operational requirements
  • • Propose legislative changes to address compliance loopholes
  • • Support debt collection through accurate audit assessments

Leadership & Development:

  • • Provide technical guidance to audit teams
  • • Share knowledge on emerging trends and compliance risks
  • • Optimize resource allocation and audit processes
