Position: Social Work Manager – Child & Youth Care Centre

Experience Level: 10+ years post-registration experience

Minimum Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree/NQF Level 7 in Social Work
– Active registration with SA Council for Social Service Professions
– 10 years’ practical social work experience post-registration
– Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities)

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead comprehensive child protection and development programs
– Manage therapeutic/recreational activities and care plans for youth
– Oversee child admissions/discharges and permanent placement strategies
– Implement behavior management systems and staff training initiatives
– Ensure compliance with Children’s Act and reporting protocols
– Supervise social work teams and administrative operations
