Position Purpose

  • Align Transnet’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and procedures with the new iSCM strategy, ensuring compliance with the latest legislation and regulations.
  • Manage, maintain, and communicate Transnet’s SCM policies to ensure adherence.
  • Analyze internal and external audit findings and develop interventions to minimize non-compliance.
  • Support the Executive Manager in consulting with internal and external stakeholders on procurement-related issues.
  • Ensure policies cover potential risks and comply with government regulations.
  • Develop and update Terms of Reference and templates.
  • Maintain and update the iSCM toolkit.
  • Disseminate information and conduct training on SCM policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Law, Procurement, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in Public Sector SCM Policy, Legal, Governance, or Compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of PFMA, PPPFA, and other public sector procurement legislation.
  • CIPS membership is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of working in cross-functional teams.
  • Must undergo a Lifestyle Audit.
