Position Requirements
- Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Management or related field
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- 2-3 years’ experience in facility maintenance management
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee technical staff for building maintenance and groundskeeping
- Develop preventive maintenance programs for recreational facilities
- Monitor service delivery standards for libraries, community centers, and sports facilities
- Manage movable asset maintenance programs
- Prepare operational reports for council review
- Support budget planning and financial oversight
- Coordinate facility upgrades and capital projects
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and lease compliance
