Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) or equivalent NQF7 qualification
- Experience Needed: 5+ years in municipal electrical networks or related field
- Location: Gauteng
- Registration: ECSA certification (Pr Eng/Pr Tech/Pr Cert Eng)
- License: Valid Code B driver’s license
Key Requirements:
- Expertise in electrical distribution network maintenance
- Experience with street/area lighting systems management
- Background in contractor supervision and performance monitoring
- Electrical Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (advantageous)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical network maintenance and street lighting operations
- Develop strategic plans for infrastructure improvements
- Coordinate contractor activities and ensure compliance
- Design and review public lighting installations
- Manage team performance and safety protocols
- Prepare technical reports and analyze equipment performance
