Job Purpose:

Perform essential physical tasks to support the maintenance, construction, and repair of municipal water services infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain small plant equipment for water service operations
• Conduct infrastructure repairs and maintenance activities
• Maintain safe worksites and equipment storage areas
• Complete daily operational reports and documentation

Requirements:

Essential:

• Matric certificate or equivalent primary education
• Valid certification for small plant operation (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• 6 months of relevant work experience

Preferred:

• Secondary education qualification
• 1+ years’ experience in municipal maintenance operations

Key Competencies:

• Equipment operation and maintenance
• Safety protocol adherence
• Basic infrastructure repair techniques
