About the Internship

This internship offers a full‑time, 12‑month training programme designed to give you hands‑on experience as a Draughtsman. You will work closely with senior architects and engineers, learning how to create, modify and manage architectural drawings and plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan space usage based on occupant numbers and current interior layouts.
  • Create design drawings using client requirements and suggestions.
  • Assess space efficiency and recommend adjustments.
  • Support the technical architect in product development and maintenance.
  • Gather information for complete facility plans, blueprints, specifications, cost estimates and reports.
  • Produce designs for existing buildings where no plans are available.
  • Prepare final drawings after construction is complete.
  • Create rough sketches of projects to present to clients.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with SketchUp 3D modelling.
  • South African citizenship.
  • Having a vehicle is an advantage.
