Shop Assistant/Cashier P27

The goal of this P27 role is to provide an outstanding shopping experience for customers. This includes restocking shelves, arranging products, keeping the store clean, and handling transactions quickly and accurately at the checkout.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills – fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Determined and persistent

- Motivated and focused on meeting targets
- Previous retail experience is helpful
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service for a positive shopping experience – help shoppers find items, answer questions, and resolve complaints
- Handle cashier tasks – process cash and card payments, manage lay-bys, handle refunds, report issues to supervisors, and balance the till at the end of shifts
- Manage merchandising – ensure prices are correct, products are well-displayed and available on the sales floor, maintain housekeeping standards, and stay informed about promotions
- Support risk management – tag products as per company policy, assist with stock takes, watch for shoplifters or suspicious activities, and report them to management
- Always follow Ackermans values, policies, and procedures in your daily work
