Shift Artisan Jobs

Key Performance Areas:

• Maintain machinery and equipment on site to the required standards.
• Repair site equipment and handle building maintenance.
• Handle plumbing, carpentry, welding, building, plastering, and tiling tasks.
• Follow planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Improve overall equipment efficiency on all production lines.
• Reduce unplanned downtime.
• Supervise health and safety for machinery, equipment, and the work environment.
• Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Provide effective engineering support to the production department.
• Complete administrative tasks, such as job cards and quality check sheets.
• Perform stand-in duties as needed.
• Participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) programs.

Required Experience and Skills:

• N3-N6 equivalent with a Trade Certificate in Fitter and/or Turner, Mechanical Engineering.
• N3 trade test certificate in cabinet making.
• Grade 12 or Mechanical/Electrical NTC3 qualification.
• Full N2 trade theory completed.
• Experience in a high-speed, high-tech bottling operation is an advantage.
• Completed apprenticeship with a recognized institution (registered as an apprentice).
• More than 2-3 years of relevant practical experience.
• Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
• Proven problem-solving skills and knowledge of various problem-solving methods.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work with limited supervision.
• Strong leadership behavior toward colleagues, superiors, and company values.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
• Team player with drive, initiative, and a passion for making a difference.
• Independent and hands-on approach to work.
• Computer literacy is an advantage.
