SHEQ Assistant (Contract Position)

Position Purpose:

  • Implement SHEQ management systems to control safety, health, environmental, and quality risks
  • Develop responsible safety practices aligned with client requirements

Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • National Diploma/BTech in Safety Management

Experience:

  • 2+ years in safety roles
  • Tailings management experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required

Core Responsibilities:

Policy Implementation:

  • Maintain SHE policy visibility across all operations
  • Communicate safety objectives to staff and clients

Compliance Management:

  • Ensure legal compliance and document submissions
  • Review role assignments quarterly

Risk Management:

  • Conduct workplace risk assessments
  • Monitor injury claims and employee health status

Key Skills:

  • Safety training and communication abilities
  • Project coordination skills
  • Strong organizational capabilities
