About the Role

RCL FOODS is a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, committed to delivering high‑quality products and making a positive impact. We are looking for a dedicated SHEQ Administrator to support our Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and Health & Safety (H&S) processes. The role reports to the Senior QAT and will be based in our Spartan facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, amend, publish, and upload FSMS documentation; report monthly on key metrics.
  • Control documents for FSMS and H&S (1 document: 5 minutes).
  • Assist the cleaning supervisor with CSOP drafts and approvals.
  • Update all documents to “RCL group services” (1 document: 5 minutes).
  • Coordinate equipment calibration (scales, pH meters, hygrometers, oil testers, metal detectors, X‑ray, thermometers) and maintain calibration logs.
  • Communicate with suppliers to schedule on‑site calibrations.
  • Open, follow up, and track NCRs; maintain weekly NCR tracker.
  • Log complaints into SheqX and generate feedback reports.
  • Raise internal/external audit NCRs in SheqX.
  • Facilitate weekly technical reports and trackers.
  • Update customer complaints dashboard and yearly internal audit schedule.
  • Obtain sales reports for monthly reporting.
  • Create business reports (BRs) and workflows for orders, Microchem, Scientific pest control, and other service providers.
  • Overall administration of SheqX, including document uploads and user creation.
  • Arrange and collect stationery as needed.
  • Generate monthly reports and trend micro results (TVC, coliforms, E. coli, hand swabs, product results, water results, Listeria, cleaning efficiency).
  • Assist with internal audits and verify weekly thermometer checks.
  • Maintain calibration files and ensure certificates are updated and filed.
  • Track over‑massing, customer complaints, and RTVs as they arise.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12 with an administration qualification.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role (advantageous).
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, Excel (graphs), PowerPoint, Q‑Pulse; experience with SheqX is a plus.
