Job Description

The Service Advisor is the main point of contact between customers and the service team at an automotive dealership. You will listen to customers, explain vehicle issues, provide estimates, and schedule appointments. Your goal is to ensure customers leave satisfied and their vehicles are serviced efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and record vehicle problems accurately.
• Explain recommended maintenance and repair services in clear terms.
• Create and discuss service estimates with customers.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate vehicle drop‑off and pick‑up.
• Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle and any additional services needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the service process.
• Handle complaints and resolve issues in a calm and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all service transactions and customer interactions.
• Work closely with service technicians to ensure timely and thorough completion of work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in an automotive setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
• Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Comfortable using computer software and electronic service systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
