Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Grade 12 certificate
• Traffic Officer Diploma (certified copy required)
• 5-8 years relevant experience
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Firearm Competency Certificate
• Clear criminal record (certificate/proof of application)
• Proficiency in 2 official Western Cape languages (English/Afrikaans/Xhosa)
• Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to work under pressure

Mandatory Documentation:

• Certified Grade 12 certificate
• Certified Traffic Officer Diploma
• Certified driver’s license copy
• Certified firearm certificate
• Police clearance documentation
• Certified ID copy

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise team operations and staff performance
• Conduct road patrols and enforce traffic regulations
• Manage accident reporting and investigation
• Enforce municipal by-laws and national transportation legislation
• Execute arrest warrants and maintain legal documentation
• Coordinate emergency response operations
• Conduct road safety education programs
• Oversee vehicle impound procedures
