Job Purpose

To monitor and support the delivery of land administration services for traditional councils.

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in Land and Property Management, GIS, Town and Regional Planning, Environmental Management, Traditional Governance, Anthropology, Public Administration, Public Management, or Business Administration, as recognized by SAQA
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in administration
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Knowledge of the Traditional Leadership and Governance Framework Act
  • Familiarity with the White Paper on Traditional Leadership and Governance
  • Experience with Land Registers
  • Awareness of the Traditional and Khoi-San Leadership Act
  • Knowledge of Land Use and Tenure Systems
  • Understanding of Land Restitution processes
  • Public Finance Management Act

Main Duties

  • Handle the determination of traditional community areas and resolve land disputes
  • Implement programs for traditional community land development rights
  • Review and support the enforcement of traditional council community land rules
  • Manage the demarcation, registration, and allocation of land rights
