Minimum Requirements:
- Honours Degree in Urban Design/equivalent Planning qualification
- Professional Planner registration (certification required)
- 5-8 years’ progressive planning experience
- Proficiency in CAD, GIS, and MS Office
- Valid Code B Driver’s License
- Bilingualism in two Western Cape official languages
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead spatial planning strategies aligned with municipal objectives
- Manage development projects from initiation to completion
- Oversee Integrated Development Framework implementation
- Develop precinct plans and urban development policies
- Review planning applications for regulatory compliance
- Coordinate professional service procurement processes
- Serve on municipal Planning Tribunal
- Supervise planning team members and contractors
