Salary Range: R572,376.60 – R743,002.92 per annum

Essential Requirements
- National Diploma/Degree in Town & Regional Planning (3-year qualification)
- Valid Professional Planner registration with SACPLAN
- 2+ years local government experience preferred
- Code 08 driver’s license
- Bilingual proficiency (English & isiZulu)

- Expertise in Spatial Planning & Land Use Management Act (SPLUMA)
- Strong community engagement capabilities
- Advanced report-writing and research skills
- Digital literacy across planning software
- Strategic development planning expertise
Primary Duties
- Develop and maintain municipal land use schemes
- Evaluate development applications and zoning requests
- Coordinate with traditional leadership structures
- Oversee housing sector plan integration
- Conduct compliance inspections
- Prepare technical reports for council review
