Vaal Central Water (formerly Bloem Water) provides bulk water services to municipalities and mining sectors across the Northern Cape and Free State provinces.

Position Type

Full-Time | Based in Kimberley, Northern Cape

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis of potable water and wastewater samples
• Investigate quality non-conformances through root cause analysis
• Maintain ISO 17025:2017 compliance for laboratory operations
• Report analytical findings and manage Proficiency Testing Schemes
• Supervise laboratory staff and ensure safety protocol adherence
• Develop and update standard operating procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• B-Tech/BSc in Analytical Chemistry or related field
• 2+ years experience in accredited laboratory environment
• 1+ year supervisory experience in chemical analysis
• Proficiency in quality management systems
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong computer and report-writing skills
