Requirements
- A relevant National Diploma in Automation, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering, and registration as a Technician.
- 5 – 8 years of relevant experience after registration.
- Computer literacy: MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08 EB/B).
Key Performance Areas
- Maintain automation systems to ensure continuous collection and treatment of wastewater that meets legal standards.
- Plan automation upgrades to use the right technology and best practices, staying proactive to reduce downtime, minimize costs, and improve service delivery.
- Implement automation upgrades to complete projects on time, to specifications, and within budget, helping the branch meet its service commitments.
- Manage staff by supervising and controlling work outcomes to improve utilization, productivity, and performance in the Automation Section. Create a positive work environment that boosts motivation, sustains productivity, and enhances quality of work life to achieve service delivery goals.
- Ensure calibration and verification programs are completed and maintained.
