Senior System Engineer

Core Purpose:
Execute systems engineering activities across IT projects, ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, and infrastructure while maintaining service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage system architecture implementation and troubleshooting
- Conduct root-cause analysis for complex technical issues (Level 3 support)
- Coordinate with vendors and support teams for system upgrades
- Perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization
- Maintain production and non-production environments
- Implement security patches and system updates
- Develop technical documentation and compliance reports
Essential Requirements:
Education:
National Diploma/NQF 6 Certificate + 3-4 years’ experience
OR
Matric Certificate + 6 years’ relevant experience
Technical Competencies:
- Systems architecture design
- Server infrastructure management

- Disaster recovery planning
