Post: Senior State Law Adviser (LP9)

Locations: Pretoria & Cape Town
Employment Type: Full-time

Requirements:

• LLB Degree or equivalent 4-year legal qualification
• Admission as Attorney/Advocate (South Africa)
• 8+ years post-qualification experience in litigation/advisory work
• Expertise in Constitutional Law and human rights legislation
• Proven experience in legislative drafting (Bills/subordinate legislation)
• Knowledge of Public Service regulations and PFMA
• Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and certify national legislation
• Review international agreements and treaties
• Analyze subordinate legislation for legal compliance
• Mentor junior legal staff
• Provide executive-level legal advisory services
• Manage team performance and development
