Post: Senior State Law Adviser (LP9)

Locations: Pretoria & Cape Town
Employment Type: Full-time
Requirements:
- LLB Degree or equivalent 4-year legal qualification
- Admission as Attorney/Advocate (South Africa)
- 8+ years post-qualification experience in litigation/advisory work
- Expertise in Constitutional Law and human rights legislation
- Proven experience in legislative drafting (Bills/subordinate legislation)
- Knowledge of Public Service regulations and PFMA
- Postgraduate qualification (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and certify national legislation
- Review international agreements and treaties
- Analyze subordinate legislation for legal compliance
- Mentor junior legal staff
- Provide executive-level legal advisory services
- Manage team performance and development
