About the Role
Join the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to lead strategic initiatives combating tax avoidance and implementing global tax regulations. This role focuses on analyzing corporate restructuring, international tax frameworks, and OECD Pillar II compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify tax avoidance patterns through analysis of reportable arrangements
- Lead implementation of OECD Pillar II Global Minimum Tax Rules
- Review country-by-country reporting and tax compliance documents
- Advise National Treasury on policy development
- Collaborate with risk, audit, and legal teams
- Develop anti-avoidance strategies for corporate reorganizations
Requirements
Education:
Option 1: Honors Degree/Postgrad Diploma (NQF 8) + 10-12 yrs experience
Option 2: Bachelor’s Degree/Adv Diploma (NQF 7) + 12-15 yrs experience
Essential Experience:
– 3-4 years specialized tax/audit experience
– Strong knowledge of international tax frameworks
– Policy development expertise
