Position Overview

We seek an experienced tax professional to lead initiatives against corporate tax avoidance and implement global tax compliance frameworks, with specific focus on OECD Pillar II regulations.

Key Requirements

  • Education:
    • Honours Degree/Postgrad Diploma (NQF 8) in Taxation/Accounting + 10-12 yrs experience
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) + 12-15 yrs relevant experience
  • Technical Expertise: Tax legislation, corporate restructuring, international tax compliance (CbCR, Pillar II)
  • Leadership: Minimum 3-4 years at specialist level

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Tax Management
  • Analyze emerging tax avoidance trends in corporate restructures
  • Lead OECD Pillar II implementation nationwide
  • Review Global Information Tax Returns for compliance
Policy & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with National Treasury on tax policy development
  • Liaise with international tax authorities
  • Advise internal teams on complex tax matters
Operational Excellence
  • Develop anti-avoidance strategies for M&A transactions
  • Optimize tax auditing processes and systems
  • Monitor compliance with global tax reporting standards
