Senior Specialist: Systems (Technology Contracts & Cloud Compliance)

Position Summary

We seek a strategic technical leader to oversee technology contracts management with focus on cloud compliance (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS), AI implementations, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires balancing technical expertise with regulatory compliance in a dynamic tax administration environment.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in IT + 8-10 years’ IT Service Management experience OR
  • Matric Certificate (NQF 4) + 15 years’ relevant experience
  • 3-4 years operational specialist experience required
  • Essential Certifications: ITIL/COBIT + Cloud Platform certification (Azure preferred)

Core Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

  • Manage strategic cloud service contracts and vendor relationships
  • Ensure compliance with POPI Act, GDPR, and South African tax regulations
  • Develop cloud audit protocols and risk mitigation strategies

Operational Excellence:

  • Optimize license management for cloud assets and SaaS solutions
  • Align technology procurement with financial governance standards
  • Lead business case development for complex tech implementations
