Job Purpose
To provide expertise in SAP technology solutions, advice, and support for developing best practices. This role helps translate tactics into operational plans.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, B-Com, Finance, Management, or Engineering, plus 8-10 years of experience in SAP environment/module (FICA), including at least 3-4 years at junior specialist level.
OR
- Diploma (NQF 6) plus 10 years of experience in SAP environment/module (FICA), including 3-4 years at junior specialist level.
Alternative:
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4) plus 15 years of experience in SAP environment/module (FICA), including at least 3-4 years at junior specialist level.
Minimum Functional Requirements
- Experience in SAP FICA module analysis, design, and configuration.
- SAP FICA module functional training or relevant certification, such as SAP Finance.
- Knowledge of SAP PSCD, TRM, or BRF+ is an added advantage.
- Exposure to S4/HANA implementation, Fiori Applications, NWBC, and SAP integration solutions (e.g., IDOCs, oData) is an added advantage.
Job Outputs
Process
- Handle complex tasks and guide implementation, maintenance, and support of SAP modules to improve business functions and performance while keeping customers satisfied.
- Work closely with functional teams and designers to understand requirements from functional designs and turn them into technical designs.
- Analyze and review requirements, perform configuration, and test in SAP modules like Finance, Contract Accounting, and Revenue Management.
- Study current business processes and recommend or configure solutions to meet client needs.
- Ensure successful SAP implementation by providing in-depth functional knowledge and advice on SAP products.
- Share expert knowledge of industry best practices and suggest changes to optimize processes, systems, policies, and procedures. Implement organizational changes and innovations.
- Act as a liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve SAP functional and application issues. Map client business requirements, processes, and objectives, and develop product modifications as needed.
- Stay knowledgeable about the organization and follow all standards.
- Plan maintenance for current system solutions in SAP modules like Finance, Contract Accounting, and Revenue Management.
- Boost team productivity and motivation through good communication and cooperation to achieve project goals.
- Review documentation for work tasks based on Business Requirement Specifications and ensure adherence to SAP Support SDLC.
- Resolve incidents for Severity 1 and 2 issues and assist with business escalations.
- Plan, design work classes, and manage production release deployments.
- Conduct assessments and use findings to advise, recommend, and facilitate improvements.
- Maintain current system solutions.
- Perform moderate to complex configuration activities in SAP.
