Position: Senior Safety Officer – Occupational Health and Safety
Department Overview:
We maintain and develop provincial road infrastructure to ensure safe, accessible transportation systems for KwaZulu-Natal communities.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management (NQF Level 6)
- Experience Needed: Minimum 3 years in Occupational Health & Safety
- Location: KwaZulu-Natal Province
- License Requirement: Valid Code B Driver’s License
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor safety protocols across all operations
- Coordinate workplace safety committees and training programs
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and update safety policies in compliance with regulations
- Supervise occupational health and safety personnel
