Job Purpose

To monitor and oversee the provision of municipal roads and storm water services.

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Water Engineering, Transport Engineering, Construction Science, or Construction Management, recognized by SAQA
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in the built environment, project management, roads, or storm water
  • A valid driver’s license

Duties

  • Provide technical support for municipal road and storm water infrastructure planning and development
  • Review the implementation of paved and gravel road maintenance plans
  • Review the implementation of storm water drainage maintenance plans
  • Review the implementation of emergency intervention plans
  • Maintain a register of storm water drainage incidents and projects
  • Review the implementation of flood risk management plans
