Senior Research Technician: Plant Improvement (3-Year Contract)

Position Overview:
We seek a qualified Senior Research Technician to support plant improvement research initiatives at our Ncera research center through technical expertise and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage agricultural field trials
- Supervise data collection, processing, and analysis
- Implement crop management practices including pest control and soil cultivation
- Manage research resources and equipment
- Prepare technical reports and participate in farmer outreach programs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols
- Contribute to research publications and presentations
Requirements:
- MSc/MTech in Horticulture/Agronomy + 2 years experience OR
- BSc Honours + 6-8 years field research experience
- Practical experience in crop production systems
- Proficiency in data management software
- Valid driver’s license
- Registration with scientific body (advantageous)
