Basic Salary

  • R 644 442.20 – R 836 539.17 per annum (T15)

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12 Certificate.
  • B-Tech or B.Sc Degree in Project Management – NQF Level 7.
  • Registration as a Professional Project Manager (PMP) is an added advantage.
  • Computer Literacy – Office Applications, Valid Code B Driver’s Licence.
  • 3 Years post qualification experience in Project Management.

Key Performance Requirements

  • Implement the key performance areas and outcomes of the Project Management Unit by aligning with broader departmental and sector objectives to the government’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) initiative. Provide guidance on project and programme management for Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) funded projects. Monitor, evaluate, and communicate deliverables, constraints, and actions to accelerate the social and economic status of poor communities through their participation in development.

  • Manage project processes including scoping, resourcing, implementation, monitoring, and communication.
  • Handle preparation of contracts and resolve conflicts or defend actions.
  • Evaluate project performance.
  • Interact internally and externally to share technical and professional information, recommendations, solutions, and alternatives on current projects and completed works.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets. Handle reporting and documentation. Allocate resources.
  • Manage teams and provide coaching.
  • Conduct risk assessments.
  • Implement process improvements.
