Position Summary
- Employment Type: Full Time
- Education Requirements:
– BSc Electrical Engineering or B Tech Electrical Engineering
– ECSA Professional Engineer/Technologist registration - Experience Needed: 5-8 years in electricity distribution systems
- Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Required Competencies
- Advanced power system engineering expertise
- Proven project design and management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical distribution equipment
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices
- Financial analysis and reporting capabilities
- Advanced computer skills and technical problem-solving
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialized units in the Distribution System Development branch
- Oversee network expansion projects for residential/commercial developments
- Manage public lighting infrastructure planning and implementation
- Coordinate electrification initiatives and power supply solutions
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards
