Key Requirements

  • Degree with Financial Accounting specialization
  • Proven experience in municipal financial management
  • Expert knowledge of Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)
  • Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budget preparation for city operations and capital projects
  • Monitor financial performance against approved budgets
  • Ensure compliance with national financial regulations and standards
  • Supervise financial reporting and audit processes
  • Manage expenditure tracking for capital and operational budgets
  • Oversee financial support team operations
