Key Requirements
- Degree with Financial Accounting specialization
- Proven experience in municipal financial management
- Expert knowledge of Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA)
- Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing tight deadlines and multiple priorities
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget preparation for city operations and capital projects
- Monitor financial performance against approved budgets
- Ensure compliance with national financial regulations and standards
- Supervise financial reporting and audit processes
- Manage expenditure tracking for capital and operational budgets
- Oversee financial support team operations
