Key Performance Areas

  • Facilitate PMDS workshops.
  • Administer submission of PMDS documents.
  • Implement PMDS outcomes.
  • Coordinate competency assessments for SMS members.
  • Implement pay progression and grade progression for Non-OSD and OSD.
  • Supervise employees to ensure sound physical asset management, and facilitate the use of resources (human and physical) in line with relevant directives and legislation.

Prerequisites

  • Grade 12 plus an appropriate undergraduate (NQF level 6) qualification in Human Resource Management, Public Management, or a relevant equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • PERSAL training certificates or results.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a PMDS environment.
  • Valid driver’s licence (with exception for people with disabilities).

Person Profile

Knowledge, Competencies, and Skills:

  • Computer literacy, including PERSAL. Sound and in-depth knowledge of relevant prescripts and an understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service, such as the Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Labour Relations Act, and Public Finance Management Act. Experience and insight into legislation that impacts PMDS development.
  • Proven extensive experience in PMDS processes and PERSAL.
  • People management. Financial management. Problem solving. Planning and organizing. Time management. Good communication skills; group dynamics; facilitation skills; coordination skills; presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of PERSAL.
