Role Purpose
Coordinate medical care for motor accident patients in hospitals, ensuring efficient treatment pathways and advocating for patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care Coordination
- Conduct daily patient assessments and injury evaluations
- Develop clinical care pathways & monitor treatment quality
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary care teams and hospital transfers
Medical Advocacy
- Analyze cost-benefit ratios for medical services
- Resolve care conflicts between patients/providers
- Manage patient confidentiality according to regulations
Claims & Reporting
- Verify medical invoices comply with RAF guidelines
- Generate case management reports and discharge plans
- Recommend Undertaking Certificates for rehabilitation
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with healthcare providers and internal teams
- Participate in RAF community outreach initiatives
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Active registration with HPCSA/SANC
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license
- Knowledge of ICD/CPT coding systems (advantageous)
Technical Competencies
- Healthcare operations expertise
- Medical tariff & claims management
- PFMA compliance knowledge
