Position: Senior Communications Officer (SOC)

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
Qualifications: National Certificate/Diploma in Marketing/Communications (Degree preferred)
Experience: 3+ years in marketing/communications with team leadership experience

Core Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (portfolio required for shortlisted candidates)
  • Understanding of PSCBC Constitution and Labor Union dynamics
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience in labor relations environment (advantageous)

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication abilities
  • Strong project management and team leadership
  • Media relations expertise
  • Knowledge of POPI Act compliance
  • Strategic planning & organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop/implement ICT strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Lead corporate communications and brand management
  • Oversee publication of materials across digital/print platforms
  • Coordinate major organizational events and campaigns
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and media engagements
  • Develop/review ICT policies and standard operating procedures
  • Supervise and mentor team members
